Mystic Winds Jewelry Creations is a home based business that I, Cassie, started to create one of my favorite things - Unique Jewelry.  I have also recently add photography to my list of favorite things.  Please check out my jewelry and my photography.

My Bio:I started making jewelry after a friend of mine made me a bracelet for my birthday.  I convinced her to take a class with me at one of the local bead shops.  All I can say is that I was hooked.  My house is now filled with beads of almost every color.  My husband and two dogs (Zack and Jake) help me make my jewelry.  My husband is my greatest supporter and accompanies me at shows from time to time.  Zack and Jake mainly just keep me company while I'm creating.

I recently started taking pictures. I had my first 35mm photography class in 6th grade, which was my introduction to the world of cameras.  After much looking, I decided to upgrade from a point and shoot.  Since purchasing a digital SLR camera, I’ve been getting lenses, filters, etc and experimenting. 

I have always enjoyed taking pictures of places, flowers, animals, and things.  I’ve been lucky that in 2008 I’ve been able to travel to some amazing places to take pictures such as Alaska, Nevada, Colorado, North Carolina and Smoky Mountain National Park.  I also find good shots locally. 

I recently was a finalist in the Places category in the Augusta Photography Festival contest.  My photograph from that contest will be on display at the Augusta Regional Airport from September 1 through New Years. 

I plan to continue to improve my skills by taking more pictures and classes and reading photography books.  Likewise with my jewelry, I am continuously learning and trying new things.
